The wellbeing and safety of students and staff at Cathedral Grammar is our highest priority.
You will no doubt be aware of the Royal Commission’s Inquiry into what happened to children, young people and vulnerable adults in State and faith-based care in Aotearoa New Zealand between the years 1950–99. The Commission may also listen to survivor experiences before and after these dates.
The Cathedral Grammar School fully supports the work and purpose of the Inquiry. We are committed to acknowledging and apologising for historical abuse of anyone within its care, to providing redress, and to reviewing policies and procedures to prevent any potential recurrence.
To obtain a copy of our Historical Abuse Complaints policy, please email: thelnings@cathedralgrammar.school.nz
If you have concerns or experiences that you want to share, or would like to speak to Cathedral Grammar directly, please feel free to contact Board Chair, Andrew Shaw at chair@cathedralgrammar.school.nz or Principal, Scott Thelning at thelnings@cathedralgrammar.school.nz
