It was wonderful to see the Year 7 Boys taking their hosting roles to five-star status recently, as they hosted a delicious and entertaining Pink Ribbon Breakfast for the special women in their lives.

Breast cancer battler, Shelia Hailstone, delivered an honest insight to the guests about her experiences, the good, the bad and the ugly, and how breast cancer has shaped her view on life. It was a very rewarding experience for the Year 7 boys to hear first hand how breast cancer affects the lives of many women. This allowed the boys to think and reflect on many women's journey with breast cancer.

Heartfelt wishes to Shelia, we loved your sense of humour and wholeheartedly admire your courage.

Thank you to our dedicated teachers, Mrs Tracey Jones, Mrs Amanda Botting and Mrs Jude Gray for guiding and assisting the boys with this initiative. Also to Mr Paul Gray for supervising the cooking of the pancakes!
