Pre-School Fire Safety

At The Cathedral Grammar Pre-School, we prioritise purposeful and meaningful experiences for our tamariki that align with the Te Whāriki early childhood curriculum. In our recent community services unit, kaiako focused on fire safety through the Get Out!, Stay Out! program by Fire and Emergency New Zealand. This initiative has empowered our tamariki with vital knowledge and practices to stay safe in fires.

A highlight was the Fire Service visit, where the children actively participated in experiences like sitting in a fire truck and using the fire hose. Their enthusiasm and newly acquired fire safety knowledge impressed the firefighters and made kaiako extremely proud.
