We are incredibly proud to announce that Year 8 student Alston Zou has been awarded a prestigious 2026 ICAS Medal for Mathematics!
ICAS medals recognise the highest-scoring student in each subject and year level across New Zealand, making this an exceptional national achievement.
Even more remarkably, this is Alston's second ICAS Mathematics Medal, having also received this prestigious award in 2024!

Alston has been part of our Cathedral Grammar community since commencing in Year 1, and it has been a privilege to watch him grow and flourish throughout his eight years at our School.

Alston has also been awarded an Academic Scholarship to Christ's College from 2027, another outstanding achievement and a wonderful recognition of his academic ability and dedication.
Congratulations, Alston! What a remarkable way to conclude your Cathedral Grammar journey. We are immensely proud of all you have achieved and wish you every success as you embark on your next chapter at Christ's College.
